Shrewsbury/Auburn-Barry C. Elinskas, 60, died Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the UMass Memorial Hospital, after being stricken ill earlier in the day.

He leaves his brother, Kerry C. Elinskas and his partner Jeffrey C. Snow of Weymouth. He will also be sadly missed by Karen Mahan, Stephanie Mahan, Samantha Lolax and the Tower family, as well as his many friends and cousins. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Constant C. and Beverly J. (Lundquist) Elinskas and was raised in Auburn. He graduated from Auburn High School. Barry was a free spirit who loved to travel. He spent time in Riverside, CA, Waldorf, MD and Virginia Beach, VA before returning to the area. He worked for many years in boat and car sales, and most recently as a driver for several area construction companies and Metro West Limousine Service. He had a zest for life and loved anything to do with the water, whether it was boating or fishing or just spending time listening to the ocean waves. He also will be remembered for his great sense of humor. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Barry’s family on Wednesday, July 10th from 5-8 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, July 11th at 11 AM in the funeral home. Following cremation, burial service will be private.
