Obituary for Nancy M. Quattrucci

Nancy M. Quattrucci
Nancy M. (Stoddard) Quattrucci, 84, of Shrewsbury passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation surrounded by her caring and loving family. She was born in West Chesterfield, NH on December 22, 1930 the daughter of the late Fred J. and Marguerite E. (Streeter) Stoddard. She graduated from Brattleboro High School, Vermont, in 1948. She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband Paul J. Quattrucci of nearly 31 years; a sister Patricia E. Frederick of Morrisville, PA; and many nieces and nephews in various parts of the country.

In the early 1960’s Nancy moved from New Hampshire to Sutton, MA working for several years as the Consumer Loan Officer at Bay State Savings Bank in Worcester before retiring in 1985. She then had ample time to work with her husband Paul on her diverse variety of gardens at her home in Sutton, soon becoming a member of the Grafton Garden Club enabling her to visit many area gardens. She adored gardening and her gardens in Sutton and later in Shrewsbury showed that love.

Gardening was just one of the many interests Nancy enjoyed. She was also an avid and talented oil and watercolor painter with special preference for painting landscapes and vases of flowers with mixed colored arrangements. An animal lover since childhood through her later years, she always had a pet dog or cat to take care of and enjoy. She was very passionate about music. As a young child of school age she and her younger sister would sing accompanied by their mother on the piano. As a talented group they would entertain patients at nearby nursing homes and hospitals who warmly applauded their fine voices and simple dance routines.

Nancy had a heart of gold. Anyone who knew her and enjoyed her company and friendship would tell you what a generous, beautiful, spirit she had.

The Quattrucci family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehabilitation staff for all the compassion and care that was given to Nancy. A Graveside Service will be celebrated at 11am on Thursday, July 9, 2015 in Mountain View Cemetery Shrewsbury. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury
