Antoinette M. "Toni"  Strand (Falcone)
SHREWSBURY- Antoinette M. “Toni” (Falcone) Strand, 92, formerly of Harriett Avenue, Shrewsbury died Monday, February 8, 2016 in Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in West Brookfield after an illness.

Toni was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian (Trotta) Falcone. She graduated from Commerce High School. She began her career working for Norton Company where she met her husband Martin.They were married in 1953. She also worked for many years as an office manager at Iandoli’s Market, retiring in 1986.

Her husband, Martin C. Strand, Jr. died in 2003. She is survived by two sons, Peter M. Strand and his wife, Arlene of Spencer and Paul J. Strand and his wife, Diane of York, Maine; five grandchildren, Michelle, Marie, Lisa, Lyndsay, Zachary Strand; Her sisters, Ann Marie Kennedy and her husband, Paul of Shrewsbury, Marian Martineau of Shrewsbury, Marylou Turnbull of Worcester; and sister-in-law, Eleanor Falcone of Worcester. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers Louis and Michael Falcone and sisters Doris Settle and Lena D’Agostino.

Toni was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and was always at her best surrounded by her family. She was very active throughout her life, enjoying bowling, swimming, skiing and golfing. Most of these activities she enjoyed well into her 80’s.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Toni’s family on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 9:00-10:30 in the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM at Saint Mary’s Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
