Edward F. "Ed"  McGrath
WORCESTER – Edward F. “Ed” McGrath, 61, of Worcester, died Sunday, April 17, 2016.

He was born in Dayton, Ohio son of Paul and Agnes (Tucker) McGrath. He graduated from Saint John’s High School in 1972 and continued his education at Assumption College and Becker College in Worcester where he got his Nursing Degree.

Ed worked as a registered nurse at Marlboro Hospital for many years.
He loved the Boston Red Sox, Baseball Hall of Fame, and really enjoyed history. He also loved spending time with his cats.

Ed leaves his wife of 21 years, Jane Marie (Adshead) McGrath. He leaves his two children, Ian Edward McGrath and Megan Jane McGrath; a brother, Andrew McGrath and his wife Sarah of Sutton and a sister, Suzanne Raynes and her husband Peter of Worcester; also survived by close friends and co-workers from Marlboro Hospital, Wayne Davis, Paul Malaba, and Tunde Akindele.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass celebrating Edward’s life on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 10 AM in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St, Worcester, MA. Burial will be private and at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the McGrath Children’s Education Fund, Peoples United Bank, 4 Mower Street, Worcester, MA 01602.
