NICHOLAS JOSEPH THEODOSS, M.D.-- April 23, 1987-August 31,2016

SHREWSBURY--Nicholas Joseph Theodoss, M.D., born April 23, 1987, beloved son of Jeffrey S. and Joan E., passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, August 31. Nicholas was a lifelong resident of Shrewsbury, and the oldest of four children.

Nicholas was a graduate of Shrewsbury High School, where he excelled in academics, played on the varsity soccer and track and field teams, and was an accomplished violinist. Nick and his friends shared a deep rooted loyalty to each other and to SHS, which resulted in the formation of the Shrewsbury Super Fans.

Nick was a proud graduate of Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, where he joined the brotherhood of Pi Delta Psi; these friendships continued throughout his post college years. After his graduation from Cornell, Nick followed his dream of becoming a doctor. He received his medical degree at Ross University, 2013, with high honors; completed his Preliminary Internal Medicine Residency at Griffin Hospital, affiliated with Yale University School of Medicine; and was completing his Primary Residency in Physical Medicine at Temple Hospital, Philadelphia, PA.

Intelligent, caring, funny, inquisitive, and loving are many of the traits Nick possessed. He was passionate about politics, good food, music, movies, family, and friends. He loved New York City, where he spent much of his time completing medical rotations. Nick will be remembered for his kind heart, selfless acts, strong will and unwavering determination. Nicholas lived his life with fierce independence, which was the driving force behind his many successes.

Besides his parents, Nicholas leaves behind his sister, Caroline, age 26; his brother, Nathan, age 24; and his brother, Patrick, age 23; his grandmother’s, Patricia M. Hine, and Catherine A. Theodoss; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, September 8, from 4-7 p.m., at St. Mary's Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 9, at 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Church. Burial will be private.
