Claire Jo Sohlman (Fredin)
CHARLTON – Claire Jo (Fredin) Sohlman, 89, of Charlton died peacefully on Friday, August 26, 2016.

She leaves behind her husband of 67 years, Evert F. Sohlman, two sons; Scott Sohlman and his wife Linda of Barrington, NH, and Mark Sohlman and his wife Naomi of Princeton; four grandchildren, Patrick, Katrina Creamer, Joanna, and Matthew; one great-granddaughter, Kailynn; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Benjamin Fredin

Claire Jo was born in Worcester to Lawrence and Edith (Bennett) Fredin. She retired from the Transitional Assistance Department for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts after 20 years of service. She and her husband, Evert traveled extensively across the United States. They became snowbirds traveling to Florida in the winter and back to Charlton for spring and summer.

She was very devoted to her immediate family and was always knitting an afghan, hat, or mittens for all of them. Claire Jo will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at 1 PM in the All Faiths Cemetery (Section B) Worcester. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the charity of one’s choice. BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central St, Auburn is assisting the Sohlman family with arrangements.
