Condolences

Condolence From: Michael Jiroutek
Condolence: I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. Creamer's passing. I was in his Latin class for four years at Doherty from 1985-1989. Mr. Creamer was a kind man and an unforgettable character, with an obvious passion for Latin. As a math/science type, the languages were not my favorite subjects, but as someone who found his way into teaching another less-than-favorite subject myself(statistics), I'll never forget Mr. Creamer and his passion for his interest. He was always working hard to share his interest with the students, enjoying it even when some/many/most weren't paying attention. I'm reminded of this oftern as I look out across my classrooms of students. I'm as grateful for the lessons he imparted that had nothing to do with Latin as I am for the Latin-specific ones.

A one of kind, true original, he'll be missed. The students that won't have the chance to experience him as a teacher are worse off for it.

My sincere condolences,

Mike Jiroutek

Condolence: I had the pleasure of being one of his students while studying Latin at Doherty High School in 1985 -6. He was a remarkably patient teacher and I still remember much of Latin grammar and ancient world epic stories taught in his class. He was a true gentleman and I fondly recall him being smartly dressed daily with his signature bow tie. He was a credit to the classics teaching profession.

Condolence: To the Creamer Family: I would like to offer my condolences on the passing of Mr. Creamer. I had him for Latin II, while a student many years ago at North HS. We both transitioned to Burncoat HS,
when it opened in Dec. 1964. I found him to be an excellent teacher, and a better person. RIP, Jeff!

Condolence: So sorry to hear of your loss. Mr Creamer was my Latin teacher for three years at Burncoat and I have nothing but great memories of the learning that he directed us toward. I still remember some of that Latin from many decades ago - a testament to the depth of that learning and dedication of one great educator.
