Obituary for Roger A. Guillett

Auburn, Ma- Roger Allen Guillett, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family from complications of lung disease on Tuesday, January 31st, 2017.
Roger is survived by his wife of 54 years, Viola (Orcutt) Guillett, his two daughters, Susan Pauline Kibe of Danielson, CT, and Nancy Eugenia Moses, of Auburn, her longtime companion Demetra J. Moore of Mendon and his four grandchildren whom he cherished very much Keisha Moses, Austin Weagle, Alyssa Moses, and Joshua Weagle. Roger was predeceased by his mother Edith (Guillett) Love and his stepfather Daniel Love.
Roger was born in Holden and raised in Worcester. Roger attended Beverly School for the Deaf in Beverly, MA where he would meet the love of his life, Viola. Roger and Viola were married in 1962 and lived in Worcester until 1983 where they moved their family to Auburn. Roger loved everything about his home and the Town of Auburn and was so proud to provide for his family.
Roger worked in the manufacturing industries for many years with Baker Box Corporation and Simplatrol Products, Inc. where he built motor assemblies and clutch brake units until his retirement in 1986.
During his retirement he enjoyed traveling with his family and working on projects at home and in and around his yard, especially in his flower garden. Roger was a handsome man with the brightest blue eyes. He enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and enjoying his home, he enjoyed playing card games some of his favorites were cribbage, skipbo, and rummy 500. Roger was an avid New England Sports Fan and never missed watching a game. He loved his New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, and Boston Celtics.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Roger’s family on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 PM in BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. His funeral will be Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn will be at a later date.
