Stephen Briggs, 30, of Auburn, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 10th.

Stephen was a 2004 graduate of Auburn High School and attended Keene State College. He was employed over the years as an internet sales manager at several area car dealerships, including Westboro Toyota and Quirk Mazda. Stephen thoroughly enjoyed the fast-paced sales environment and loved to talk up the various makes and models of cars that he sold. He was a gifted artist who enjoyed sketching from a very young age. Stephen also had a love of live music and dogs, combining both when he spent a summer following the band Phish and bringing home a puppy.

Stephen’s loss is grieved by his mother Ellen of Auburn, his father Andrew of Peterborough, NH, his brother John of Blackstone, his sister Laura of Athens, GA, his grandmother Suzanne Stoltmann-Dorsey of Wellesley, and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Among Stephen’s predeceased family is his aunt and Godmother Paula “Polly” Hand, who shared a special bond with him throughout their lifetimes.

Calling hours for Stephen will be on Monday, May 15th from 4:00-7:00 pm in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central St, Auburn. A service honoring his life will begin at 7:00pm Burial will be held privately at a later date.
