Paul F. Fortier, 54, of Shrewsbury, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Beaumont in Westborough, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Paul was born February 13, 1963 in Worcester, son of Frances L. (Stachura) Fortier and the late Herbert L Fortier, Jr. Paul graduated from Shrewsbury High School in Shrewsbury in 1981. He worked as a meticulous Auto Body Repair Technician in many repair shops before retiring in December 2017 due to illness.
Paul leaves behind his son, Michael P. Fortier of Framingham: his mother, Frances Fortier; a brother Russell J Fortier and his sister Debra L Picard; nieces Nicole and Tiffany George and Michelle Fortier, all of Shrewsbury. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that will remember him as the man with the “heart three times to big” especially Scott, Georgia, and Jonathan.
Paul enjoyed the great outdoors including hunting and fishing. He was also an avid NASCAR enthusiast. Paul never turned a person in need away; there was always an extra meal or place to sleep when needed.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Pauls’ family on Thursday January 18, 2018 from 9:00-11:00 am in the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury with a prayer services to follow at 11:00am. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
