Doris B. (Bouvier) Brommels Smith, 100, of Auburn died peacefully on Wednesday January 17, 2018 with her loving daughter by her side.

Mrs. Smith was born in Wilkinsonville, MA daughter of the late Gideon and Malvina (Martin) Bouvier.

She was employed for many years at both First National Stores and the Howard Johnson Co in Braintree until she retired.

She was predeceased by her husband, Kingsley E. Smith, and her son, Paul H. Brommels. She leaves a daughter with whom she lived, Alyce M. Brommels of Auburn and several nieces and nephews.

Doris's family wishes to send their gratitude to both Beacon Hospice and Laura's Guardian Angels for all of the compassionate care that was given to Doris.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Mrs. Smith’s family on Tuesday January 23, 2018 from 10-11 am in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central St, Auburn followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Burial will take place in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood Street, Worcester, MA 01607 or to a charity of one’s choice.
