Obituary for Jeanne S. Johnson

Jeanne S.  Johnson
Jeanne S. (Gagnon) Johnson, 87, of Auburn died Thursday February 1, 2018 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Jeanne was born in Fall River daughter of the late Roland and Cecile (Lemieux) Gagnon. She graduated from Rutland High School and later attended Becker Junior College.

Jeanne had worked as an administrative assistant for over fifteen years for Shawmut Bank which became Bank of Boston before she retired.

Her husband Raymond K. Johnson died in 1996. She is survived by a son, Raymond K. Johnson and his wife Linda of Charlton Depot, MA; two grandsons, Stephen and Brian Koopman; four sisters, Connie, Lorraine, Rachel and Mariette and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Christine A. Koopman; five brothers and two sisters.

Jeanne was active at one time in the prayer group at Saint Joseph’s Church in Auburn. She enjoyed being surrounded by her grandchildren and enjoyed going to the beach.

The Johnson family would like to thank the Staff of Beacon Hospice, TCU at Harrington and the Visiting Angels for all of their compassion and care given to Jeanne in her last few months.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Jeanne’s family on Tuesday February 6, 2018 from 10:00-11:30 in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A prayer service will follow at 11:30 am. Burial will take place in the spring privately.
