Obituary for Elva F Terrasi (Russell)
Elva F. (Russell) Terrasi, 78 of Auburn passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital.
She was born on the United States Army Base in Panama daughter of the late William H. and Mae Ashton (Cassidy) Russell. She was a 1957 graduate of South High School in Worcester and received a Nursing Degree from the Saint Vincent School of Nursing in 1960. She has lived in Auburn for the past 45 years.
Elva was a devoted Emergency Room Nurse at St. Vincent Hospital retiring after 30 years for practicing.
Elva is survived by “her girls”, Mychelle Marin and her husband Michael of Auburn, Virginia Bunker and her husband Steven of Paxton, Elva Thrain of Cherry Valley, Joanne Deso and her husband Brian of Auburn, Donna Repekta and her husband Adam of Cherry Valley; eight adoring grandchildren, Jacob, Steven, Joseph, Katherine, Samantha, Daniel, Grace, and Benjamin; also, survived by a niece, Mychelle and a nephew, Shawn; and a brother-in-law, Sam of Florida. She was predeceased by a sister, Doris Chesser.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Elva’s family on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 4-7 pm in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Her funeral will be on Tuesday February 27, 2018 with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Joseph Church, 189 Oxford Street N, Auburn. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
