Daryl Perkins, formerly of Auburn and Medway, passed away at home on April 25, 2018 after a brief but intense battle with pancreatic cancer.

He leaves his beloved wife of 33 years Pamela Perkins (Davis). He is survived by their three children: Erik Perkins and his wife Bahi, Scott Perkins, his wife Kirsten and their children Faelyn and Desmond, and Lucy Schafer and her husband James and their children Aaron and Kara.

Daryl is also survived by his two brothers Clayton “Chip” Perkins (wife Elaine) of Medway, Donald Perkins (wife Heidi) of Millis, a sister Charlene Sylvester of Medway, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. His parents Clayton and Mae Perkins (Munroe) are deceased. He also leaves his lifelong friend Barry Tiernan (wife Terri) of Medway, and his Union brothers and sisters of the IBEW.

Daryl was born in Boston and raised in Medway. He was a truck driver for many years working at both Reddish Disposal and Wellesley Trucking. For the past 17 years he worked as a Telecommunications Technician at Verizon. He and Pamela also owned and maintained several rental properties.

Daryl loved music and was a huge supporter of his son Erik’s bands. He and Pam went to many of Erik’s shows. Daryl helped customize a few tour vans. He loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles and owned several throughout his life. He was very passionate about fitness. Prior to the onset of his illness Daryl was at the gym 5 days a week. He loved competing in events such as the Spartan Race and the Pan-Mass Challenge.

Daryl was a true family man and his kids loved him so much. He was always willing to help in any way in their various endeavours. He loved being a “Bampie” and was a huge part of his grandchildren's’ lives. He also loved spending vacation time with his wife Pam, especially at the camp in Antrim. They made many trips together, including Bermuda, Florida, Las Vegas, and the Grand Canyon.

Daryl was a man who made the most out of life. He was very personable and could have a great conversation with anyone he met. He was taken much too soon and will be greatly missed. Calling hours are from 4-7 PM on Saturday, April 28 at Britton- Wallace Funeral Home. A celebration of Daryl's life will be held on April 29, time and location TBD.
