Obituary for Barbara A Toboyko (Lilla)
Barbara A. (Lilla) Toboyko, 83, died Saturday in her home surrounded by her loving family after a 6-year courageous battle with multiple myeloma.
The love of her life and husband of 61 years, Henry “Hank” Toboyko, died on January 13th. . Barbara leaves her three daughters, Patricia Danshire and her husband Richard of Marlborough, Donna Toboyko of Orlando, Florida and Linda Babraitis and her husband Robert of Leicester; two granddaughters, May and Christine Babraitis and her dear friend and brother-in-law, William Dwyer of Framingham and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Edward Lilla and two sisters, Marion Dwyer and Dorothy Listenik.
Barbara was born in Auburn daughter of the late Michael G. and Catherine F. (Ciabaszewski) Lilla. She graduated in 1952 from Saint Peter’s High School in Worcester.
She had worked at Worcester Gas Light Company in the 1950’s where she met the love of her life, Hank. She also worked as a Secretary in the Engineering Department for Riley Stoker in Worcester before she retired in 1996.
Barbara was a life long member of Saint Joseph’s Church in Auburn. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, family vacations to Cape Cod, holiday gatherings, gardening at her home in Auburn and loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Family and friends may visit with Barbara’s family on Friday May 11, 2018 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central St. Auburn followed by a funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford St North, Auburn. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
