My Dad, Bill Foley, and Ralph Lespasio were best friends and thick as thieves. Ralph was always the happy, chatty and funny 'uncle'. Then one day my sister and I were told that he met an amazing woman and was getting married. And although we were little, we were happy and I remember to this day how excited he was. When we met Irma we instantly bonded, her infectious smile, warmth and genuineness were palpable. And she had beautiful dogs which we loved as our parents were not pet people back then. Over the course of several years growing up we would spend time at their retreat in Conway with them and I was always sad as they turned off Rt 95 to 495 for Shrewsbury and we headed on Rt 95 home to Revere. The memories of the meals, long drives and friendship remain with me. As I got older and married my parents contined their adventures up north. It was a wonderful period of time that I will never forget and Irma made that time so very dear and special. You will be missed but know you will be smiling from heaven!
