Charlotte E.  Fant (Sandner)
Charlotte E. Fant, 92, of Auburn died peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Meadows in Rochdale. She was predeceased by her husband, the late Carl E. Fant.

Born, raised and educated in Worcester, the daughter of the late Catherine (Sibly) and Chester A. Sandner, Sr., Charlotte graduated in 1943 from North High School and she attended Worcester State College. She soon gained employment working in the banking industry. During the 14 years prior to her retirement she worked at Worcester Community Credit Union.

Charlotte truly enjoyed spending her summers at Blackman Point in Brant Rock which was time spent with her family. She enjoyed reading and telling jokes. Her nickname from the Auburn Fire department was the” Chowder lady” for all the clam chowder and fritters that she made for the Auburn 4th of July celebration in the early 1970’s.
Charlotte and her husband Carl were past Matron and Patron of the Pakachoag Stella QES Chapter #224, of the order of the Eastern Star.

Charlotte is survived her children Pamela E. Tomaso and her husband Charles of Milford, MA, Stephen K. Fant of Auburn and his friend Jane Blinkhorn of Uxbridge, Ma, Debra K. Williams and her husband Brian of Warren, MA, Bruce E. Fant and his wife Kelly of Auburn, MA. grandchildren Christopher Tomaso and his wife Jennifer, Mark Tomaso and his wife Valerie, Chelsea Fant, Michael Fant, great grandchildren, Jessica Tomaso, Joshua Tomaso, Ryan Tomaso, and Kyle Tomaso. She is predeceased by her brothers, Chester A. Sandner Jr., Staff Sgt. George E. Sandner, and Richard E. Sandner.

Expressions of gratitude are sent to The Meadows Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and to the staff for their kindness, compassion and friendships.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn and will be held privately at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to The Meadows Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Activity Fund, 111 Huntoon Memorial Highway Rochdale, Ma 01542.
