I am so sorry for your loss. Bob was a truly remarkable man. I met him at an Aldrich Astronomical Society meeting back in 2011. He instantly pulled me into his orbit and from that point on I became a point of contact for Bob helping to organize his many student outings to the Harvard Center for Astrophysics for a tour of the facility and some face-to-face time with professional astronomers. Hearing of his passing has deeply saddened me, but I'm reminded of how hard he fought cancer and how much of himself he devoted to his students. At times when no one would have faulted him for stepping back and resting, he pushed through with his oxygen tank and climbed up and down four flights of stairs to help his students see Harvard's historical telescopes! It was a great honor getting to know Bob, and being able to help him achieve his educational goals is something I'll always remember and it will continue to serve as a source of inspiration in my own work. Rest in peace, Bob. Joe DePasquale
