Diane M  Stisitis (Cooper)

Diane M. (Cooper) Stisitis, 70, longtime Auburn resident died Saturday August 11, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Worcester and raised in Auburn daughter of the late Joseph S. and Daphne (Kester) Cooper. She graduated from Auburn High School 1966 and later married her sweet heart, William J. Stisitis in 1968

Diane had worked for Sears at the Auburn Mall for over 30 years, retiring in 2014. She was a faithful member of Hadwen Park Congregational Church in Worcester where she was very active for many years. Diane also enjoyed painting, bowling, singing in the Church Choir and camping with her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and keeping up with all their activities.

Her husband of 33 years, William J. “Spider” Stisitis died in 2001. She leaves her children, Karen L. Audette and her husband Michael of Spencer, William J. Stisitis and his wife Jennifer of Oxford and Timothy J. Stisitis of Auburn; four grandchildren, Brittney McDonald and her husband Jonathan, Alexis Stisitis, Cameron Stisitis and Joshua Audette; also survived by three sisters, Phyllis Friend of Texas, Beverly Shaw of Montana and Cynthia Wilson of Idaho; several nieces and nephews and her beloved feline friend, Seeker. Besides her husband Bill she was predeceased by her twin brother, David Cooper.

Relative and friends are invited to visit with Diane’s family on Wednesday August 15, 2018 from 4-7 pm in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central St, Auburn. A funeral service celebrating her life will be on Thursday August 16, 2018 at 10 am at Hadwen Park Congregational Church, 6 Clover Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to Senior Companion Program through Family Services, 31 Harvard St, Worcester, MA or the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
