Obituary for Leonard C Bellerose

Leonard C. Bellerose, 84, longtime resident of Shrewsbury, died Monday September 10, 2018.

Leonard was born in Worcester, son of the late Arthur Bellerose, Sr., and Edmonde (Cadoret) Bellerose. He served his country proudly with the Massachusetts National Guard for many years.

Leonard had worked for over 30 years for the Coppus Engineering Corporation in Worcester before retiring. He was a devoted member of Saint Mary’s Parish in Shrewsbury where he served many years as a Eucharistic Minister. He was the first Sacristan and he and his wife, Joyce were the first Adult Altar Servers for the Parish funerals. He was an avid reader and enjoyed anything in print about History.

He leaves his loving wife and devoted companion, Joyce J. (Lindquist) Bellerose of Shrewsbury; a sister, Sr. Yvette Bellerose, SSA, of the Sisters of St. Anne in Marlborough; a nephew, Steven Bellerose and his wife, Susan, and two great nieces, Kate and Meghan Bellerose. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Arthur Bellerose, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Leonard’s family on Monday September 17, 2018 from 5-7 pm in the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main St, Shrewsbury. His funeral will be on Tuesday September 18th with funeral Mass celebrated at 11am at Saint Mary’s Church, Shrewsbury.
