Robert Vincent Ryan, of Rhinebeck, NY entered into eternal life September 23, 2018 at age 80. Born and raised in the Bronx, Bob graduated top of his class from the school of hard knocks. He enlisted in the Navy where he served honorably prior to meeting his wife, Rebecca. Bob and Rebecca raised their loving family in Glen Rock, NJ. Bob is survived by daughters Kelly, Stephanie, Nancy & husband Kevin, and Erin & husband Michael; grandchildren: Melissa, Nicholas, Danielle, Monica and Matthew, and several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his wife, Rebecca; his sister, Stephanie Weber, and Brother-In-Law, Fritz Weber.

At the beginning of his career, Bob worked for General Tire, but then felt the pull to open his own business, hence the birth of Ryan Tire Company. Bob served his community in North Bergen County, NJ for over 50 years. Upon retiring, Bob and Rebecca moved to Rhinebeck, NY, a place they were proud to call home. Affectionately referred to as Neighbor Bob, our father was amiable and had the ability to start conversations anywhere, often leaving people laughing. He was a friend to all and will be greatly missed.

Funeral Mass will be held on October 13th at 1:00 pm at the Parish of the Good Shepard, 3 Mulberry Street, Rhinebeck, followed immediately by the Burial Service in the Rhinebeck Cemetery. Following the services, please join us to ‘raise a glass’ to Bob Ryan at the Beekman Arms, 6387 Mill Street, Rhinebeck NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Pathfinder Village as this organization is near and dear to both Bob and Rebecca. http://pathfindervillage.org/
