Lois J  Warren (Russell)
Lois J. Warren, 89, died early Wednesday morning, October 17, 2018 at Lutheran Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Worcester MA. She was a resident of Sturbridge for the last few years and a long-time resident of Auburn.

Lois was born in Auburn, daughter of the late Charles and Reina Russell, on June 1, 1929. She graduated from Auburn High School. After raising her children, Lois worked for Burr Insurance Agency of Worcester for many years.

Lois married Ralph Warren Jr. in 1950. They were married for 63 years before his death in 2013. She is survived by two children and three grandchildren: son, Barry Warren and his wife Valerie and their daughter Amy; daughter, Melodie Hanks and her son Jonathan and his wife Katie, and her son Christopher. Lois’ son-in-law Jeff Hanks predeceased her. Lois is survived by three siblings, Charlotte Stevens, Nancy Rudman and Peter Russell. Lois’ brother David Russell predeceased her.

Lois loved to play the piano and the organ. She was an organist for many years at Millbury Congregational Church and the First Congregation Church of Auburn where she and her husband Ralph together led the music worship for 22 years. She was a former member of the First Congregational Church in Auburn, and was a member more recently of the Charlton Baptist Church.

She lived her life putting others first. Her grace and tender heart was a blessing to all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Warren family on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 4-7 pm in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Memorial service celebrating Lois’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 12 Noon at the Charlton Baptist Church, 50 Hammond Hill Road, Charlton, A private burial will be held at 10:30 AM at the Hillside Cemetery, 65 Central Street, Auburn prior to the service. Flowers may be sent or memorial donation may be made to the Charlton Baptist Church Christian Care Fund, 50 Hammond Hill Road, Charlton, MA 01507.
