Georgette M.  Quintin

Georgette M. (LeComte) Quintin 88, of Worcester, formerly of Shrewsbury and Charlton died August 25th in UMass- Memorial Medical Center-Memorial Campus after an illness.



Her husband, Norman L. Quintin died in 1970. She leaves two sons, Mark A. Quintin and his fiancée, Kathy Jewell of Worcester; Michael N. Quintin of Louisville, Kentucky; three daughters, Janet E. Stank and her husband, Bruce of Worcester, Sandra A. Daoust and her husband, Paul of Millbury, Paula L. Fisher and her husband, Jack of West Brookfield; three sisters, Sister Marie Therese du St. Rosaire, LSP of Washington, D.C., Irene Casey of Ft. Myers, Florida, Marguerite Madonna of Fall River; six grandchildren, Norman, Michelle, Judi, Christopher, Jessica and Jenna; 9 great grandchildren, Olivia, Luke, Caleb, John, Mathew, Abigail, Adrian, Alyssa, and Amelia. She was predeceased by 8 of her siblings.



Georgette was born, raised and educated in Victoriaville, P.Q., Canada, daughter of the late George and Rose (Bougie) LeComte. She had lived many years in Worcester, Charlton, and Shrewsbury before returning back to Worcester four years ago. Even though Georgette had a family of her own, she offered herself for many years as a foster mother for Catholic Charities. She also was a faithful member and was quite active in church activities in all the parishes that she attended throughout the years.





Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Georgette family on Thursday, August 27th from 5-8 P.M. in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 28th at 10 A.M. in Saint Christopher Church, 950 West Boylston Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Memorial donations can be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, 4200 Harewood Road N.E., Washington, D.C. or to the Alzheimer Association, 311 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA 02472
