Obituary for Elsie D. Norman

AUBURN/SUTTON- Elsie D. Norman died Monday, December 7, 2015 at Life Care Center of Auburn at 98 years of age.

Elsie was born and raised in Millbury, daughter of the late Ernest and Helga (Asker) Norman. She had lived in Millbury for many years until moving to Sutton in 1971.

She leaves two nieces, Nancy Sarkisian of Auburn, and Barbara Norman of North Smithfield, RI; three nephews, Francis Norman, Jr., of Millbury, Robert Norman of Manchaug, and Leonard Norman of Auburn. She also is survived by great and great-great nieces and nephews. Her siblings Inez Thomas, Francis Norman, Sr. and Chester Norman predeceased her.

Elsie worked at the Town Line Club and for the Millbury Water District for many years. She loved to play cards and enjoyed going to Foxwoods. She especially relished spending her summers in the sea side town of Hull and talking about her longtime dream trip to Sweden.

Funeral services and burial for Elsie will be held privately. BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn is honored to be assisting Elsie’s family with arrangements.
