Ann M.  Rohanna
Ann M. (Russell) Rohanna of Shrewsbury died Thursday, May 12, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Daboul) Russell. She attended Worcester Schools. In Buffalo, NY, Ann met and later married the love of her life, Robert J. Rohanna. Ann was predeceased by her husband Robert, a decorated veteran who served in W.W. II and received a Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Ann’s life was all about family, and she dedicated her life to them. She especially enjoyed spending quality time with her two granddaughters and great- granddaughter; her other interests included watching her favorite baseball team the Boston Red Sox, playing bingo, scratching lottery tickets, making Lebanese food and baking.

Ann is survived by her devoted son and daughter –in-law, Robert and Mary (Leone) Rohanna of Shrewsbury; two wonderful granddaughters, Lisa Buffone and her husband, Brian and Marianne Vidal and her husband Miguel all of Worcester; her great-granddaughter and pride and joy, Sophia Buffone and her great-grand dog Frankie; also survived by a nephew also known as Ann’s second son, Al Bisceglia of Holden, nieces, Georgette Bisceglia of Hyannis and Rosalina Russell of Worcester, and many other beloved nephews and nieces.

The Rohanna family would like to thank the staff at the Shrewsbury Nursing Home for all the care, love and compassion they showed Ann during her stay there.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Ann’s family on Monday, May 16, 2016 from 9:30-10:30 am in the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury followed by a funeral Mass at 11 AM at Saint Mary’s Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Ann had a wonderful devotion to St. Jude, and in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 2151,
501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101-2151.
