Eleanor M. (Davison) Marston, 91, of Shrewsbury died Thursday September 22, 2016 in Beaumont Rehabilitation in Northborough after an illness.

She was born in Worcester and raised in Shrewsbury daughter of the late William and Lillian (Ogren) Davison. She graduated from Major Howard W. Beal High School in 1943. Eleanor worked as an Executive secretary at UMASS Medical School for over 10 years before she retired. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Shrewsbury, the Red Hat Society, the Silver Sneakers exercise group, and was an avid reader. She will be remembered for her wonderful witty sense of humor and for her love and devotion to her husband and family.

Eleanor leaves her husband of 72 years Rodney F. Marston; two daughters, Susan E. Conlon of South Yarmouth, Jennifer A. McGrail and her husband Thomas of Princeton, and a son, Mathew T. Marston of Worcester; sister, Marguerite Foley of Bethesda, Maryland; three grandchildren, Jennifer A. Pratt and her husband Robert of Hopkinton, Sarah L. Ziegler of Grafton, and Jessica E. Klick and her husband Theodore of Vermont; four great grandchildren, Nicole Foster of Hopkinton, Audrey and Noelle Ziegler of Grafton and Lily Klick of Vermont; also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Rodney F. Marston Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Terry Marston; and a son-in-law, Thomas Conlon.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Eleanor’s family on Wednesday October 5, 2016 from 11:00-12:00 Noon in the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will be private in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
