WORCESTER: Joanne E. (Price) Johnson, 84, died Tuesday, December 6, 2016 in the Christopher House of Worcester.
Her husband Frank W. Johnson died in 1984. She leaves three sisters; Jeanne Price of Auburn, Barbara Forzley of Auburn and Nancy LaFlash of Worcester, a nephew Ronald M. LaFlash of Auburn, three nieces; Nancy J. Pasquale of Sarasota, FL, Joanne C. Smith of Uxbridge and Christine I. Polland of Deltona, FL and several great nieces and nephews.
Joanne was born in Worcester, daughter of Milton and Isabelle (Humphries) Price. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1951. She was a key punch operator for many years at Associated Grociers before retiring. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Pakachoag Chapter, A very active member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church and their women’s guild. She loved to play bingo and play cards. Her happiest times where spent with her family especially her beloved nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Joanne’s family on Friday, Dec. 9, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 PM in BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Her funeral service will be Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 10:00 AM in St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 695 Southbridge Street, Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Matthew’s Parish Memorial Fund, 695 Southbridge Street, Worcester, MA 01610
