Robert G. "Red"  Lauzon
Robert G. “Red” Lauzon, 76, of Auburn died Monday December 5, 2016 in UMASS Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born in Worcester in 1940, his parents, C. Adelard and Mary Ann (Griffin) Lauzon, took him to the family homestead in Auburn where he lived his entire life.

He was a 1957 graduate of Saint Peter’s High School in Worcester. After graduation he tried his hand at becoming a printer working for the Former Stobb’s Press Company. After two years, his wanderlust turned him into the direction of the United States Navy where he served aboard the U.S.S. Mt. McKinley AGC7. He was honorably discharged as a MM2. He often said after his family and friends, his most cherished memories are of his Navy days traveling around the world.

Bob retired as a Line Foreman from the Massachusetts Electric Company after 35 years of service.

He was a lifelong member of Saint Joseph’s Parish in Auburn; a member of the BUW Local 330 for 30 years where he served on its arbitration board. A member of the Cherry Valley American Legion Post 334; and a member of the Greendale Retired Men’s Club.

Bob was also very well known throughout the country as an avid Collector and Seller of Antique Autos and parts. His specialty was Chrysler cars of the late 1930’s, 40’s and early 1950’s vintages. He spent many years as a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America where he won their top award for restoring his 1948 Plymouth S/D Club Coupe. He was also a long standing member of the Walter P. Chrysler Club and the Plymouth Owners Club where he had many friends interested in preserving the Plymouth name.

Bob leaves his wife of 51 years, Linda E. (Grant) Lauzon; two sons, John R. Lauzon and his wife Julie Ann of Auburn and Jeffrey R. Lauzon of North Oxford; a grandson, Nicholas Lauzon; a brother, William J. Lauzon of York, Main and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Bob’s family on Sunday December 11, 2016 from 2-5 PM in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. His funeral will be Monday from the funeral home with a funeral Mass at 10 am in Saint Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street North Auburn. Burial with military honors will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
