Obituary for Michael J. Dell'Aquila

AUBURN: Michael J. Dell’Aquila, 83, Died Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in his home after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 60 years, Theresa C. (Prue) Dell’Aquila, a son J. Michael Dell’Aquila and his wife Lysa of Oxford, two daughters; Anne Marie Mitti of Big Pine, FL and Lynne M. Brigham of Worcester, a brother Fiore Dell’Aquila of Worcester, a sister Rosemary Flagg of Worcester, 10 grandchildren; Carly, Nicky, Tyler, Brea, Brent, Hannah, Josh, Sabreana, Richie and Roy, 4 great-Grandchildren; Brady, Ethan, Jayce and Ty-James and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 5 brothers; Joseph, Lawrence, Santo, Dominic and Raymond and 4 sisters; Victoria, Jenny, Catherine and Josephine.

Mr. Dell’Aquila was born in Worcester, son of Santo and Katherine (Tozzi) Dell’Aquila. He owned and operated Executive Business Machines Inc. for over 30 years. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was a member and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph’s Church. He was a longtime member and past President of Century Sportsman’s Club, past President of the St. Vincent De Paul Society at St. Joseph’s Church and a member of the Worcester County Light Opera Club. He loved the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. He enjoyed gardening and spending time at his beach house at Hampton Beach.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Michael’s family on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 PM in BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. His funeral will be Monday from the funeral home with a Mass celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street North, Auburn. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
