Obituary for Astrid M LeBlanc (Johnson)

Astrid M. (Johnson) LeBlanc, 95, formerly of Auburn died Tuesday March 14, 2017 in the Christopher House after an illness.

She was born and raised in Worcester daughter of the late Carl A. and Anna M. (Fjellman) Johnson. Astrid graduated from Commerce High School in 1940. Astrid had worked many years as a secretary for Reed and Prince and as a sales associate for several clothing stores in Worcester throughout the years.

While living, and raising her family in Auburn, Astrid was a member of the Pakachoag Church where she was a member in the Afternoon and Evening Circles. She also was an active member of the Auburn Senior Center and the former Swedish Club of Worcester.

Her husband, Joseph L. LeBlanc passed in 1982. She leaves her children, Paul R. LeBlanc of Douglas, Gail D. Brunyak and her husband Michael of Shrewsbury and Linda M. Beliunas and her husband Gary of Brimfield; two grandchildren, Nicole M. Brunyak and Tyler J. Brunyak both of Shrewsbury; and a nephew, Robert Lemay of CT. Besides her husband, Astrid is predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Janice Ronfeld a brother, Carl “Harry” Johnson and two sisters, Ruth Anderson and Florence Fisher; and several nieces and nephews.

Astrid’s family wishes to personally thank The Christopher House especially the Brookside Unit for all their wonderful care and concern for Astrid and her family during her stay there.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Astrid’s family on Monday, March 20, 2017 from 9:30-10:30 am in the BRITTON-WALLCE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A service honoring Astrid will begin at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester. Flowers may be sent or memorial donation can be made to the Patient’s Activity Fund at The Christopher House, 10 Mary Scano Drive, Worcester, MA 01605.
