Sheryl Lee (Bylund) Brunelle, 62, of Worcester died Wednesday May 10, 2017 in her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Sheryl was born in Worcester and raised on Bylund Ave. in Auburn, daughter of the late Raymond and Hazel (Orne) Bylund. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1972.

She leaves her husband and best friend of 34 years, John J. Brunelle, her daughter, Dani Lee Brunelle and her fiancé Samuel Nicholson of Nantucket. She was predeceased by a daughter, Chera Lynn Brunelle. “Shay” also leaves five siblings, Ann McTygue and her husband Michael of East Sandwich, Dawn Lemansky and her husband Richard of Auburn, Raymond Bylund, Jr., of Auburn, Ronnie Bylund and his wife Kim of Fiskdale and Terry Bylund and his wife Davina of Charlton. Her adored in-laws, Hank and Linda Brunelle of Cherry Valley, Carol and Gary Benson of Brooksville, FL, Susan and Larry Farrington of Woodbridge, VA, Jo-Anne Yost of Thompson, CT, Alan Brunelle of Dudley, Gary Brunelle and his fiancé, Colleen, of Charlton, MA. She leaves many, many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her father in law and mother in law, Henry H. and Claire (Lacroix) Brunelle and a brother in law David Brunelle, who is survived by his wife Sharon of Webster.

Sheryl made a career working in Human Resources, most recently at Webster First Federal Credit Union for several years, where she was proud of her accomplishments and the lasting relationships she developed.

Family was the first and foremost in Sheryl’s life. She looked forward to big family holidays, country concerts, and traveling. She enjoyed spending Sundays in the fall watching the Patriots, listening to the Red Sox on the radio by the fire, and reminiscing about the times at the Garden watching the “The Big 3”. Some of her best memories were made at her second home in Point Judith, RI. She could often be seen running along the shoreline before finding the perfect rock to place her beach chair to spend the day watching the boats go by.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Sheryl’s family on Friday May 19, 2017 from 4-7 pm in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn followed by a service of remembrance at 7:00 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to VNA Hospice & Palliative Care of Worcester, MA 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
