Obituary for Rose M Demoga (Boraccini)

Rose M. (Boraccini) Demoga of Worcester passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday June 11, 2017. Rose was born in Worcester, the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Faccenda) Boraccini. She graduated from Commerce High School in Worcester. Rose is predeceased by her beloved only son John Demoga, Jr of Shrewsbury. Additionally she is predeaceased by her siblings Grace Gentile, Ann Williams, Mary Conti, Frank and Matthew Boraccini.

Rose leaves behind her devoted husband of 69 years, John P. Demoga Sr. of Worcester, her two grandchildren Cara and Jonathan Demoga, her daughter-in-law Diane (Elworthy) Demoga of Shrewsbury and many nieces and nephews and extended family, all with whom she shared a deep and everlasting bond.

True to her namesake Rose was a loving and beautiful person. She spent time getting to know anyone she encountered whether it be in her early years working in the Poli Theatre or as a saleswoman for Denholm McKay before taking on her most cherished role as a devoted wife, mother and finally grandmother. Rose was a natural nurturer who tirelessly cared for and supported her family through aging and illness. She found strength in her faith as a long time parishioner of St. Margaret Mary’s Parish and more recently St. Anne’s of Shrewsbury. Rose had a passion and talent for cooking and baking, particularly Italian foods which she passed on to her son and grandchildren. Rose loved going to the movies and enjoyed traveling locally to Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Cape Cod with her husband, son, daughter in law and grandchildren. As is such with a rose, there will never be one like her again. She will be missed sorely by her family but the love shared with Rose is, like her, truly timeless.

Friends and family are invited to visit with Rose’s family on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 9:00-10:30 am in the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Her funeral Mass will follow where we will celebrate Rose’s life at 11:00 am in Saint Mary’s Church, 640 Main St, Shrewsbury. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
