Condolence From: Graham
Condolence: For most, the scents of Cape Cod are a salty sea breeze, the delightful, yet unappealing, low tide, or fried seafood. For a lucky few, these were augmented by the distinctive surprise of subtle smoke. With the same care and precision that Doc Weagle burned each wood duck feather of his latest masterpiece while nestled at his porch table overlooking Wellfleet Bay, he cultivated his diverse and varied relationships - as ordered as the carved feathers, each essential for flight, yet none more important than another. A comparison of Doc’s relationships wound not yield one identical description, yet many commonalities - he was a gentle, generous, giant of a man who always put others first. For a dozen summers, that smoky sea breeze represented the best of times for his family and friends that lingered on a Wellfleet bluff. For everyone else that knew Doc, there was something that was as equally distinctive, endearing, and valued.
