Obituary for Victoria A "Vicky" Nadeau (Opacki)

Victoria A "Vicky" Nadeau (Opacki)
Victoria A. “Vicky” (Opacki) Nadeau, 89, of Auburn died Sunday January 14, 2018 after a short illness.

She was born and raised in Worcester daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna (Piechota) Opacki. She attended Worcester Schools and St. Mary’s and graduated from Salisbury School.

Victoria had worked for many years as a clerk and office support for several area companies including Crompton and Knowles and Rockwood Sprinklers both in Worcester before she retired.

She was member of Saint Joseph’s Church where she was a C.C.D. teacher, active in the Women’s League and participated in the church picnics and Christmas bazaars.

Victoria enjoyed the simple pleasures in life; talking on the phone daily with her sister and others, spending relaxing moments just riding with her late husband and her dogs. Vicky had the most amazing ability to truly reach people in such a spiritual and positive way. She truly was an angel on earth, able to give and inspire kindness for all human kind. Her moto was uncomplicated, yet elate most. Vicky knew that good existed in everyone, even if it’s harder to see. By showing appreciation and acknowledgment, they will always pay it forward to those around them.

Victoria’s husband of 45 years, H. Francis Nadeau died in 2001. She leaves two sisters, Catherine D. Prostak and Jane Popham both of Worcester; she also is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her husband, she is predeceased by a brother, John S. Opacki of Shrewsbury.

A funeral Mass for Victoria will be celebrated on Saturday January 20, 2018 at 10 am in Saint Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street North. Calling hours and burial will be held privately.
