Obituary for Robert D. MacLea

MacLea- Robert D. MacLea, 75, of Auburn, died Thursday March 1, 2018 in Worcester surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Brockton, son of the late Robert G. and Edna (Spurr) MacLea. Robert graduated from Hyde Park High School and later continued his education receiving a business degree from Bentley College.

Robert worked for TJX Corporation in Framingham for 41years, before retiring in 2016 as a Senior Vice President of Marmaxx/ Director of Loss Prevention.

When not hard at work, Robert loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed golfing, boating, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time in Florida.

Robert leaves his loving wife of 43 years, Lorraine “Joan” (Clement) MacLea; his children, Robert G. MacLea and his wife Terese of Berkley, Todd Silvia of Miami, Florida, Kyle MacLea and his wife Holly of Madbury, New Hampshire and Jennifer MacLea and Peter Harmon of Newton. He leaves his grandchildren, Patrick MacLea, Kate Silvia, Oliver Harmon, Duncan MacLea, Annabelle MacLea and Elliott MacLea. He is also survived by his brother, Donald MacLea of Quincy and many wonderful friends and colleagues.

Calling hours for Mr. MacLea will be on Tuesday March 6, 2018 from 4-8 pm in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central St, Auburn, MA. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 7, 2018 at 11 am in Saint Thomas Episcopal Church, 35 School Street, Auburn.
