Joseph L. “Joe” Skrip, 55, of Worcester was stricken ill at home and died Monday July 9, 2018.

Joe was born in Worcester son of the late Leo and Ruth M. (Vaitkunas) Skrip. He graduated from Auburn High School in 1981 and later attended Worcester State College. Twenty five years ago he married the love of his life Joanne Simmler and they settled in Worcester where they started their family life and raised their son, Lawrence.
Joe had been employed as an Outside Sales Reprensentive for Olympus for the past ten years. Prior to working for Olympus, he was a professional photographer.

Joe was an avid skier who loved spending time on the slopes with his son, Larry.

He leaves his beloved wife, Joanne (Simmler) Skrip; his loving son, Lawrence J. “Larry” Skrip of Worcester; six siblings, Carolyn Bergeron and her husband Norman of Auburn, Susan Dobson and her husband Dana of Caldwell, Idaho, Thomas Skrip and his wife Gail of Oxford, Deborah Pasqaletti of St. Cloud, Fl, Pamela Callahan and her husband James of Millbury and Dr. Michael Skrip and his husband James Brown of Boston; also survived by ten nieces and nephews and nine grand nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Joe’s family on Sunday July 15, 2018 from 2-7pm at BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main St, Shrewsbury. His funeral will be on Monday July 16, 2018 with a funeral Mass celebrated at 10 am at St. Anne’s Church, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, MA (Please kindly go directly to Church).
