Judith  A "May"  O'Brien (O'Neill)
Judith A. "May" (O'Neill) O'Brien, died August 7, 2018 at Orlando Regional Medical Center after an illness. Her husband Richard J. O'Brien, Jr., died in 2012 in Florida.

Judy was born in Oswego, New York daughter of the late James and Marion (Champoux) O'Neill. Dick was born in Marlborough son of late Richard J. O’Brien, Sr., and Natalie (Matheson) O'Brien. He graduated from Marlborough High School and later entered the United Sates Marines, serving in the Korean War.

As the story has been told, Judy and Dick had met at Raytheon where they both worked, then married in 1961 and settled in Marlborough where they raised their family. They moved to Florida in 2011.

Judy had left Raytheon and later took a job she loved at the Massachusetts Fire Academy in Stowe before she retired in 2010. Dick retired from Raytheon after 35 years. In their retirement years they continued to live their happy life in Clermont, Florida having friends and family visit them regularly and spending time with their dogs Riley and Keyser.

They leave their two daughters, Karen M. Duplin and her husband David of Shrewsbury and Kathleen M, O'Brien of Northborough; five grandchildren, Jason L, O'Brien of Jersey City, NJ, Lauren M. Duplin and her husband Edward Plante of Worcester, Kristen D. Duplin of Worcester, Nathan P. Hamblin and Jillian A. Hamblin Both of Northborough; several nieces and nephews on both sides. Dick also leaves a sister, Louise Porter of Marlborough and Judy leaves two sisters, Mary Emma of Avon and Ellen O'Neil of New Jersey.

Friends and relatives of Dick and Judy's are invited to visit with their family on Saturday August 25, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm with words of remembrance at 3:30 pm at the BRITTON - SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will be held privately at a later date.
