Gina Marie (Fournier) Bouthiller, 53, of Auburn died after a brief illness at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston on Monday, September 10, 2018 with her loving family at her side. She was the wife of David G. Bouthiller sharing 23 years together.

Born in Worcester, the daughter of Robert A. Fournier and Shirley (Fisk) Fournier, Gina was raised in Auburn graduating with the class of 1983 from Auburn High School. After receiving her dog grooming certificate, Gina owned and operated her own dog grooming business.

Most recently Gina worked for Auburn Public Schools as a crossing guard, a job she cherished and was proud to help the student wakers who she affectionately called “her kids”. She was most mindful of not forgetting her buses as she guided them in and out the school parking lots. Gina always welcome people with a bright smile and some fun stories of the day for a good laugh while she guided people on their path.

In her free time, Gina loved camping, fishing, caring for dogs, gardening, riding ATV’s, waterskiing, boating, horseback riding, and spoiling her granddaughter.

In addition to her husband and parents, Gina is survived by her children, Makenzie Jordan Fournier of Auburn, Robert Justus Bouthiller of Auburn, granddaughter Juliana Rose Rodriguez, step sons David M Bouthiller, Kyle D. Bouthiller and Step daughter Lynèe F. Bouthiller; siblings Kimberly A. Fournier and her husband David Parkhurst of Barrington, Rhode Island, Michele L. Roy of North Grosvenordale, Connecticut; nieces and nephews, Pat Roy his wife Lauren, Jacob Roy, Sydney Parkhurst, Julia Parkhurst, and many aunt, uncles and cousins. Gina was predeceased by her brother Robert A. Fournier.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Gina’s family between the hours of 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM on Friday, September 14, 2018 at BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn followed by her Funeral Service at 7:00 PM. Interment will be held in private.
