Obituary for Gerald A "Gerry" Simpson Jr.
Gerald A. “Gerry” Simpson, Jr., 53, of Auburn died peacefully on Thursday September 6, 2018 in his home with his loving family by his side.
Gerry was born in Boston, son of Gerald A. Simpson, Sr, and Virginia (Hart) Simpson. He graduated from Foxboro High School and later from graduated from UMASS Dartmouth with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science.
He was employed as the Director of Manufacturing at Aspen Aerogels for several years. When Gerry was not working, he enjoyed golfing and playing hockey with friends, he was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved to travel with his family.
He leaves his loving wife of 21 years, Susan (Mahoney) Taylor Simpson; a devoted son Keith A. Taylor of Worcester; his sister, Barbara Thompson and her husband Gregory of Foxboro, MA and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours for Gerry will be on Saturday September 15, 2018 from 9-11 am in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central St, Auburn followed by a service honoring his life at 11 am and burial in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to VNA Care and Hospice, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01608 or to a charity of one’s choice.
