Blanche L. (Drake) Gedenberg, 90, of Auburn, died Friday September 21, 2018 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence in Worcester after an illness.

Blanche was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Frank and Eva M. (Banfill) Drake. She attended The Worcester School System. Blanche enjoyed working for many years doing all kinds of odd jobs at different companies but, her first and most important was to care for her husband, children and grandchildren that she adored.

Her husband, Robert L. Gedenberg died in 2014. She is survived by a son David and his wife Brenda of Auburn, a daughter Dorine Donnelly, and her husband Richard, of Worcester; 3 grandchildren, Jonathan P. Hoff, Robert Hoff and Andrew Hoff and 3 great grandchildren, Tyler Hoff, Dylan Hoff and Noah Hoff; also survived by a son-in-law, Raymond Hoff of Delaware and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter Diane M. Hoff and six siblings.

She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Chester P. Tuttle American Legion Post # 279 in Auburn; a member of the Canal Sportsman's Club in Bourne, MA, and the Orange Sportsman's Club.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 4-6 PM Monday September 24, 2018 in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St. in Auburn. Her funeral will be held in the funeral home at 10 AM on Tuesday September 25, 2018. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. . In lieu of flowers please make donations to a charity of one’s choice.
