Mary L  Broghamer (Iampietro)
Mary (Iampietro) Broghamer, 87, of Millbury, MA passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert A. Broghamer.

Born September 10, 1931, in Middleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Carmela (Capuano) Iampietro and sister of the late Phillip Iampietro, Jr. Raised in Middleboro, Mary graduated from Middleboro High School, Class of 1949 and from Becker Junior College, Class of 1951.

Mary was a secretary at Worcester Cold Storage and Warehouse for 38 years, retiring in 1990. Following her retirement, she volunteered at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center for several years. Mary then devoted her life to caring for her beloved mother. Mary was a wonderful cook and she and her husband enjoyed hosting the family on holidays.

Mary enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas and Florida. She enjoyed bowling, bingo and trips to Foxwoods. She also looked forward to her daily visits from the UPS man so she could see what “treasurers” she had ordered from the home shopping networks.

She is survived by her loving sister, Mafalda Wills, and her husband, Robert of Brockton, MA and her nieces, Katherine Wills of Brockton, MA and Louise Wills of Cambridge, MA; her brothers-in-law, Kenneth Broghamer and his wife Carol and Paul Broghamer and his wife Claudia and sister-in-law Carol Girardin, as well as many nieces and nephews and her good friend and neighbor, Karen Tweedly.

A special thank you to all the healthcare workers who cared for and comforted Mary during her long illness, especially Teresa would took special care of Mary.

Relative and friends are invited to visit with Mary’s family on Thursday September 27, 2018 from 9:00-10:00 am in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn before leaving in procession to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton St, Worcester where her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. Memorial donations may be made to the MSPCA Angell West, 293 2nd Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451.
