William L "Bill"  Isaac
William L. “Bill” Isaac, 80, of Worcester, formerly of Pennsylvania, died Wednesday October 3, 2018 in Holden Rehabilitation and Nursing Center surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania son of the late Margaret (Tyahur) Isaac. Bill graduated from Beaver Falls High School in Pennsylvania and later served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was honorably discharged in 1959 after serving two years of active duty and four years in the reserves.

Bill worked for over 30 years in the Pittsburgh steel industry at Republic Steel Corporation. He enjoyed a successful career, working his way up to Supervisor and retiring in 1986 after many dedicated years. Outside of work, he loved to golf with friends and family, and cheered his favorite Pittsburgh Steelers on to six Super Bowl titles.

Bill leaves his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Frances (Welling) Isaac; his children, W. Bruce Isaac and his wife, Susie of Denver, Colorado and Lorrie Perkins of Holden; three adored grandchildren, Ryan W. Perkins of Nashville, TN, Molly L. Perkins of Washington, DC and Miles G. Isaac of Denver, CO; a sister, Margaret Welsh and her husband Robert of Youngstown, Ohio; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by one sister, Irene Isaac, and two brothers, Walter M. Isaac, and Joseph B. Isaac.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Bill’s family on Saturday October 6, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 pm in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home at 648 Main St, Shrewsbury. A prayer service honoring Bill’s life will begin at 6:00 pm. Burial will be held privately on Tuesday in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the Leukemia & lymphoma Society at www.lls.org.
