Edward Roy  Mallett
Edward Roy Mallett, 91, of Nottingham, NH died peacefully Wednesday, December 26, 2018.

Edward was born in Boston, son of the late George W. Mallett and Olive M. (Maillet) Mallett. He graduated from Hyde Park High School and later enlisted into the United States Navy where he served during W.W. II.

Edward had worked many years for Westinghouse Elevator and after retiring he worked as an elevator inspector for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He was a member of the Local #4 Elevator Union.

Edward enjoyed listening to all types of music, playing his piano, tending to his flower garden, knew his way around a carpentry shop making projects happen, walking and visiting with friends at the Dover Senior Center.

Edward was married for 44 wonderful years to Florence (Gibbons) Mallett who passed away 24 years ago. He leaves his five loving children, Edward R. Mallett, Jr. and his wife Victoria of Sabattus, Maine, Marjorie Kennedy and her husband John of Mechanicsville, VA, Glenn Mallett and his wife Suzanne of Gardiner, Maine, Kathryn White and her husband Edward of Auburn, MA and Thomas Mallett of Auburn, MA; twelve grandchildren, Edward III, Robert, Sunshine, Renee, Lisa, Sierra, Beth, Crystal, Lauren, Celeste, Glenn Paul, and Samantha; also survived by twenty three great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Besides his wife he was predeceased by five siblings, Arthur, Mildred, Harvey, Lester and Richard.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Edward’s family on Sunday December 30, 2018 from 1-3 pm in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. His funeral will be on Monday December 31, 2018 with a Funeral Mass celebrated at 10:00 am in Saint Joseph’s Church, 150 Central Avenue, DOVER, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, DOVER, NH. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to: American Heart Association.
