Obituary for James H. Mack

James H. Mack, 81, died peacefully on Friday November 15, 2019 in the comfort of his own home, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born and raised in Worcester, son of the late Harold J. and Louise M. (Elliott) Mack. Educated in Worcester as well, James graduated from Worcester Boys’ Trade School in 1956, after which he enlisted in the U.S. Army. James dedicated 21 years of his career to Thompson Steel; he retired from Concord Wire as a wire drawer in 2001, after 17 years. James was a faithful member of Adams Square Baptist Church in Worcester for many years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

James is survived by his wife, Jane L. Mack; their children, Kevin J. Mack and his wife Kathleen of Rutland, Laurie B. Yarosh and her husband John of Pottersville, NY, and Jeffrey D. Mack of Worcester; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; his sister, Marilyn Grace Knox; and several nieces and nephews. James is predeceased by his granddaughter, the late Mackenzie Yarosh; his brother, the late John E. Mack; and his sister, the late Joyce L. Sharpless.

Calling hours are from 12:30-1:30 PM on Friday November 29, 2019 with a Celebration of Life Service at 1:30 PM, followed by a reception – all held at LifeSource Church, 350 Stafford St., Cherry Valley, MA.
