Obituary for Michael S. Maglione Jr.

Michael S. Maglione, Jr., 75, of Worcester, died peacefully on Monday December 30, 2019.

Born and raised in Worcester, Michael was one of three children born to the late Michael S. Maglione, Sr. and Jeanette (Paladino) Maglione. He was educated in Worcester as well, graduating from St. Stephen’s High School. Shortly after graduating from high school, Michael went on to enlist in the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War era for four years until his honorable discharge in 1970. He worked for his family’s business, Helen’s Bakery in Worcester, for over forty years.

In his free time, Michael enjoyed fishing and boating with friends and family.

Michael is survived by his nieces and nephews, Andrew A. Maglione, Jr. of Charlton; Marie Beauregard of Paxton; Anthony Maglione of Chandler, AZ; and Joseph Maglione of Worcester. Michael was predeceased by his parents and his two siblings, Andrew A. Maglione, Sr. and Virginia Maglione.

Burial with military honors will be held privately in Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon. The BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central St., Auburn, MA, is assisting the Maglione family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Massachusetts VFW Foundation Inc., 24 Beacon Street Room 546-1 State House, Boston, MA 02133.
