Obituary

Marjorie C. “Margie” (Kwiatkowski) Habib, 76, of Shrewsbury, died on Tuesday January 7, 2020. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 43 years, the late Raymond W. Habib.

Born and raised in Worcester, Margie was one of six children born to the late Charles Kwiatkowski and Marjorie (Williams) Coonan. She was a graduate of Commerce High School in Worcester. Margie pursued her passion of helping others and became a home healthcare worker, based out of Worcester and Shrewsbury.

A lifelong baker, Margie loved baking and decorating cakes for friends and family to enjoy. Margie also enjoyed her “oldies” music, soap operas, reading, and was an avid collector of various items. But most of all, she adored her family.

Margie is survived by her children, Patricia A. Habib of Worcester, Debora J. Foy and her husband Jonathan of Shrewsbury, Tammy L. Murphy and her husband Steven of Auburn, and Terry A. Habib of Worcester; nine grandchildren, Jonathan, Jennifer, Garrett and his wife Melody, Kristin, Logan, Daniel, Julia, Raymond, and Alexis; great-grandchildren, Nylah Raye and Kamdyn; two sister-in-law’s, Ann Marie McPartland of Worcester and Mary Fortunato-Habib of Paxton; two brother-in-law’s, Dr. Thomas Habib of Carlsbad, CA and Dr. John Habib of Worcester; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Margie was predeceased by her five siblings, Charles, Joseph, Daniel, Linda, and Elaine.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Margie’s family between 5:00 and 7:00 PM on Monday January 13, 2020 at the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury, MA. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday January 14, 2020 at St. Mary’s Church, 640 Main St., Shrewsbury, MA. Burial will be with her husband at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
