Nancy S. (Bruder) Dineen, 68, of Shrewsbury, died peacefully on Thursday March 12, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Nancy was one of three children born to Paul and Helen (Kover) Bruder, born in New Brunswick, NJ. She was raised, educated, and spent the majority of her adult life in New Jersey, before moving to Massachusetts in 2017. Nancy received her education from Middlesex College, before working at Central School in Independence, NJ and St. Mary’s School in Hackettstown, NJ, as a teacher’s aide.

In her free time, Nancy enjoyed cooking, reading, puzzles, walking, watching tennis, caring for her grandsons, playing with her dog Rosco and performing charity work.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband of 48 years, Thomas A. Dineen; her son, Thomas A. Dineen, Jr.; her daughter-in-law, Amy Wu; her grandchildren, Nathan and Colin Dineen; her sister, Carol Garland; and her canine companion, Rosco. Nancy was predeceased by her son, Ryan Dineen, and her brother, Paul Bruder.

Her family would like to thank Nancy Ginsburg, Rona Long, and Marcia Cornett who personally carried them through the last few months of Nancy’s journey.

A funeral Mass will be held privately for Nancy and her family. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Nancy’s memory to your favorite charity - Nancy was an animal rights advocate. Please leave a note of condolence for Nancy’s family on her Memory Wall.

Tom,TJ,and Amy we truly have lost a ray of sunshine. Nancy was a dear friend and wonderful godmother. We are blessed to have had such a caring and loving friend in our lives. Nancy is now an angel beside God. I pray you all can find some peace. We love you very much.

Uncle Tom, TJ and Amy we are so sorry to hear about Aunt Nancy. We were shocked and saddened when we heard.... I guess it has been some time since we all were together. I pray that you are all doing as well as can be expected. She was an incredibly kind and genuine person, and will be terribly missed. God bless.

My Nancy...my "sister", my friend, my confidante...you have been such an integral part of my entire life...
Oh so many years ago, when I was first introduced to the family, there was an instant connection..we've shared so much throughout the years, most notably, the anniversary party, where in the restroom, we laughed and popped my clutch with Pat's desserts! We laughed until we cried...just sharing a simple moment...
My Matron of Honor...I was so proud to have you by my side, as I always remember you saying, from our early encounters, that you hoped one day I would be part of the family because you thought I would make a great addition..I hope through the years, that I have done you proud...
AND...Godmother to my one and only son...you were such a fabulous role model and each and everyday, Pat, myself and Patrick thank God for you...
Time to move forward. improving the lives of those around us, as to one day all be reunited...
Until we meet again...
I Love you...

Nancy was my work wife for 10 years at St Mary’s. Even more then that she was a best friend in life!! In the 10 years we worked together she was a big part of the life of over 180 children that we helped to embark into their education as preschoolers.
She was so kind and the children loved her so much!!!
Every time I have to think of the perfect song for a preschool show or graduation Nancy always knew the song I needed! I miss that and always think of her as I try and find songs for events on my own!
Tom and Nancy were always so generous to my family. They opened up their home to my girls and I when super storm Sandy knocked out our power for weeks. As far as I know Tom and Nancy were always so generous to anyone they knew needed help-true working hands of God!
I’ve missed her since she left for Massachusetts and now I miss her till we meet again!
Chloe Kenzie and John and I want the Dineens to know how sorry we are and we will keep you all in our prayers!
