Frank Spaziante, Jr., 76, longtime Auburn resident passed away with his devoted wife at his bedside on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence in Worcester.
Frank was born in Worcester son of the late Frank Spaziante, Sr., and Filomena (Vigliotti) Spaziante. Raised in Worcester off Shrewsbury Street, he graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and went on to Worcester Junior College where he received his Associate Degree in Business. Frank later continued his education and proudly earned a Bachelor Degree in Business from Nichols College.
Frank met his “True Love” Julia D. Merrill, they married on November 16, 1969 in Worcester at Ascension Church and later settled in the Town of Auburn raising their three children.
He worked as a Senior Claims Analyst for Allstate Insurance Company in Lincoln, Rhode Island where he dedicated over 30 years, retiring in 1999.
Frank was proud of his Italian heritage and was a member of the East Side Improvement Club on Shrewsbury Street. He also was a loyal New York Yankees and Giants Fan. He also enjoyed taking side trips to “The Wonder of It All” in Connecticut.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Julia D. (Merrill) Spaziante, three children, Julie Garand of California, Frank Spaziante III of Oxford and Lynn Spaziante of Auburn; a sister, Ann R. Spaziante of Worcester; sister-in-law, Joan Merrill, and her husband Ervin Stark of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews. His life was enriched by his two grandchildren, Sean and Erica Garand.
