Obituary for Anne M. Stepanauskas (Hallahan)

Anne M. (Hallahan) Stepanauskas, 91, of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Lutheran Rehab and Skilled Nursing in Worcester. She was the loving wife of the late Anthony J. Stepanauskas, who passed in 1978.

She leaves her loving children: Wayne P. Stepanauskas and his wife, Lori Santon, of Shrewsbury, and Linda A. Choiniere and her husband, Peter, of Carlsbad, CA; her four grandchildren: Ella Stepanauskas, and Paul, Tara, and Brooke Johnson; and her brother, William Hallahan, of Worcester. Along with her parents, the late Michael J. and Nora J. (Maroney) Hallahan, Anne was predeceased by her siblings: Richard Hallahan and Elizabeth Hallahan.

Born, raised, and educated in Worcester, Anne was a graduate of Commerce High School. She met and married her beloved Anthony, and the pair settled in Shrewsbury to raise their family.

Anne was a homemaker when her children were young, then later worked in the local hospitality industry.

Proud of her heritage, she was a member of the Lithuanian Club, Women’s Auxiliary in Worcester. She was also a faithful parishioner of Saint Anne’s Church in Shrewsbury.
Anne loved gardening and tending to her flowers, but above all, she cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren; and watching them grow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606 (worcesterarl.org/donate/).

Services will be held at a later date.
