Obituary for James F. "Jim" Brennan

James F. Brennan, 87, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 18, 2021 in the comfort of his home, with his loving family at his bedside.

He was the husband of Linda J. (Norton), and son of the late William F. Brennan and Catherine F. (Hurley) Brennan. Jim had three children, Lori Brennan of Auburn, Michael Brennan of Old Orchard Beach, ME, and Karen O’Keefe of Glen Rock, NJ, and three grandchildren Brian Brennan, Thomas O’Keefe, and Mollie O’Keefe. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings: William P. Brennan, Harry A. Brennan, Patricia Jennings, and Dr. Catherine Brennan.

Jim served his country proudly during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of American Legion Post #318 of Worcester; the Blue Knights – Mass II of Worcester; the Massachusetts Police Association, a life member of the Auburn Lodge of Elks #2118, and a life member of the H.O.G. Motorcyle Clubs of Stuart, FL and Leominster, MA.

He was a police officer for the Auburn Police Department and retired to Florida, where he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing golf, and rooting for the New England Patriots.

Relatives and friends are invited to join in the celebration of Jim’s funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 22, 2021 at North American Martyrs’ Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn, MA. The Britton-Wallace Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with arrangements.
